Before you pick up the food to eat, take a couple of deep breath--in through the nose and out through the mouth. Just to allow the mind and body to settle. Eat slowly. Focus on each sensation of your first bite in turn: smell, sight, sound and taste. Immerse yourself in the richness of the practice of eating and try to eat your whole meal slowly. You will reduce stress, improve your digestive functioning and reduce overeating and weight gain.

Listen to your body its speak to you.

Your body will always talk to you. Make that intuitive connection with it. If you listen to your body whispers, you don't have to hear it scream. I listen to my body. What does it need today? Rest, relaxation, exercise, a good meal, a hug from a friend. I give my body what's it need.

 

 

I am choosing to be happy. I am in charge of how I feel and today I am choosing happiness. I am deciding to have a good attitude even throught bad times. I will do things that make me happy and be around people who make me smile. I will laugh as much as I love. Love as long as I live. Happiness comes from within and it is found in the present moment by making peace with the past and looking forward to the future. Happiness is always a choice. You can't wait for circumstances to get better. You have to create your own good furtune. So look for ways to be happy everyday. No one can make you happy, until you make yourself happy first. Happiness is a choice. Be comfortable with who you are. No one can drive you crazy, unless you give them the keys! Choose Happiness. Who is with me in being in the campaign of happiness!

Morning Sunshine! Lemon and mint water is fresh and invigorating. It jump-starts the metabolism and helps you awaken after a night of sleep. It also gets you hydrated first thing in the morning, after several hours without water. This is great to drink through out your day.

 

Skin Detox Green Smoothie
Young and Raw
Ingredients:
1/2 pear
1 handful parsley
1 inch piece of ginger
1/2 rib of celery
1/2 lime
1 cup water or coconut water
Instructions: Wash and chop your produce, blend on high until smooth.

Anti-inflammatory Juice:
Turmeric Tonic
Ingredient:
Raw edibles
- 1 large piece turmeric (4-5 inches or more)
- 1 large piece ginger (2-3 inches)
- 5 carrots
- 2 lemons
- 1 orange
- 1 cucumber
- 1/4 tsp. cayenne pepper powder
- 1 tbsp. holy basil (fresh or powder - if using fresh, use 2 tbsp.)
Juice the turmeric, ginger, carrots, lemons, orange, and cucumber. To the juice, add the cayenne powder and holy basil powder. If using fresh holy basil and fresh cayenne pepper, juice these too. Enjoy!
